Vice President Faisal Naseem has inaugurated the Fuvahmulah road development project.

The project was inaugurated during the VP’s official visit to the city. VP Faisal Naseem stated that it was a goal of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s administration to carry out developmental projects the way that citizens wished to.

He added that the road development project would move forward with suggestions and criticism from the general public being taken into account.

Speaking to the residents of the island, VP Faisal noted that the island residents would be the ones to decide the order of roads being developed. He highlighted that the road development project of the island had been commenced before, but the works will be resumed in a way that it would make it easier for pedestrians and drivers as well.

The Vice President also appealed all to follow traffic guidelines as the roads are being developed to modern standards.
