A dental care unit has been opened at Fuvahmulah City Hospital.

The unit was inaugurated by Vice President Faisal Naseem during a special ceremony held at the hospital.

Speaking during the event, VP Faisal noted that the government is actively giving a huge importance to the health sector. As such he highlighted that the government intends to provide access to quality healthcare across the nation.

He added that one of the biggest responsibilities of the government was to make sure that all citizens were safe and sound, and to improve the health sector which has seen quite a lot of tumbles these past years. He stressed that the government will continue serving the people tirelessly in the future as well.

Health Minister Abdulla Ameen and Minister of Communication, Science & Technology, Mohamed Maleeh Jamaal also took part in the event.
