President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has decided to designate flats for employees who have worked in tourism sector for 15 years.

Housing Ministry's State Minister Akram Kamaaluddin confirmed President Solih's decision to 'One' on Monday night, adding that President Solih made the decision on Sunday.

As such, 300 flats from the 6,000 flats under 'Gedhoruveriya' scheme's second phase has been designated for employees who have served tourism sector for 15 years.

Akram stated that the policy regarding this will be announced soon.

The administration has announced 6,000 flats and 4,500 land plots under the housing project; with housing plots being allocated in Uthuru Thila Falhu as well.
