PPM-PNC presidential candidate Dr. Mohamed Muiz has said that he will build a thalassemia centre in Hulhumale' if elected as President.

Dr. Muiz made the remarks during his campaign rally at ADh. Mahibadhoo on Thursday evening to campaign for the second round of presidential elections scheduled to be held on September 30, 2023.

Pointing out that the current government has neglected thalassaemia children and people, Dr. Muiz said that during his tenure, a new thalassemia centre with better resources would be set up and free bone marrow treatments would be made available.

"We will set up a spacious thalassemia centre in Hulhumale' with better resources," he said.

Muizzu said there aremore than 4,000 children with special needs and under his rule they would be given an allowance. He added that under his administration, a state-of-the-art dialysis centre would be set up in male' and central and northern parts of the country.
