Maldives Customs Service has seized drugs worth MVR 2 million that was being smuggled in by air.
The drugs were flown in to Male' on UL flight 103 from Malaysia on 21 August as part of a cargo shipment.
Customs stated that the shipment was searched and revealed 1.6kg of substance which tested positive to heroine.
Customs stated that the drugs has a street value of MVR 2 million. The drugs have been handed over to Police for further investigation.
