Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid has departed to Germany on an official visit, on Monday morning.
A statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the Minister was visiting Germany to take part in the 5th Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue.
The dialogue will see discussions regarding environmentally friendly energy sources and development of systems for such. It is scheduled to be held on Tuesday and Wednesday.
In the past years the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue has become a leading international forum for key stakeholders of the energy sector. High-level policymakers, industry, science and civil society are given the opportunity to share their experiences and ideas on a safe, affordable and environmentally responsible global energy transition.
The Minister is also expected to meet with the German Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs. The two are to discuss about the strengthening of bilateral ties between Maldives and Germany.
