Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said HA. Baarah Channel and Maintenance Dredging Project is well underway, with overall 70 percent project progress.

MTCC said they have completed channel dredging operations and harbour basin maintenance dredging operations.

Scope of work for the project include 49,437.5cbm channel dredging operations, 8,600cbm maintenance dredging operations, construction of a 460m geobag revetment and installation of navigational lights.

The project is valued at MVR 14.5 million.
