President of Maldives National Party (MNP) Mohamed Nazim has said that arrangements will be made to conduct IVF through Aasandha.

Speaking on Sangu TV's "Nazim ah Suvaaleh" program yesterday, Nazim said that during his short tenure as the Health Minister, pharmacies were opened in all inhabited islands of the country and a women's specialist doctor wase appointed to every island to resolve complications arising from childbirth. He further added that the Sea Ambulance service also began during this time.

Nazim said he had done a lot of work in a few days to ensure equitable access to health care among all citizens. Chemicals and ambulances were also provided for remote islands under these efforts.

"Even as a parliamentarian, I am working to identify loopholes in the country's healthcare system and make necessary changes in the law to solve these issues. One of the things I have advocated recently is about infertility, which is one of the most pressing issues in the country. IVF should be available through Aasandha, the fact is that there are so many people who go into depression after being unable to start a family," Nazim said.

Nazim said IVF services should be available in the Maldives and the service should also be provided through Aasandha.

He stressed that if he is elected president, the challenges in the healthcare system will be addressed and resolved.
