Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has lost parliament minority since 'The Democrats' was registered.

'The Democrats' was added to the political party's registry on Wednesday, making the new party the new minority leader in the parliament.

PPM as the minority leader included 5 MP's. However, 'The Democrats' have 13 members, making the party the new parliament minority leader.

Speaker Nasheed is set to sign for 'The Democrats' on Saturday Friday night along with Addu Hithadhoo MP Ahmed Rasheed.
