Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has commenced their internship programme for students in secondary and senior secondary.

MPL said on Thursday that the internship kicked off with over 200 applicants which is a great increase in comparison to the previous year. MPL said they increased slots in some fields to allow as many applicants to complete their internships.

The internship by MPL's Learning and Development Department (LDD) was announced on 25 June and will continue until 3 August 2023.

MPL's internships are being offered in the following areas

  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Marine Engineering
  • Civil Engineering - AutoCAD drawing
  • Civil Engineering - Surveying
  • IT - Web Development
  • Business Development and Marketing - Copy Writing

MPL stated that all the interns are assigned mentors to train them for the work environment.
