Police began a probe into a domestic violence case against a female officer.

Police stated on Wednesday that the Professional Standards Command is conducting an investigation into the case. However, police did not specify who was involved in the domestic violence against the officer.

A local online media report claimed that a senior ranking police officer along with some other officers have tried to silence a case of sexual harassment and abuse against a female officer.

Addressing the media report, police denied the occurrence.
