A batter explosion amid a ferry inbound to Malé from Raa Atoll Ungoofaaru has injured six passengers.

MNDF revealed to the media that the 'Crystal Speed' ferry boat carrying 39 passengers to Malé had reported the incident of a battery explosion.

MNDF further revealed that their Coast Guard is actively helping the passengers, noting that the incident was reported at 4:00pm.

The incident occurred near Eriyadhoo Resort, and all passengers who were injured have been since taken to the resort's clinic.
