Opposition parties The Democrats and PPM have scheduled a third round of discussions for today.

West Henveiru MP Hassan Latheef who is leading the formation of The Democrats tweeted earlier that the meeting would be held at Ocean Library at 1:00pm today.

PPM Vice President and Naifaru MP Ahmed Shiyam and Mahibadhoo MP Ahmed Thoriq attended the discussions on behalf of PPM last time. MP Latheef, Central Henveiru MP Ali Azim and Deputy Speaker Eva Abdulla participated from The Democrats.

While MP Shiyam previously noted that the meetings are being held with the direct instruction of President Abdulla Yameen, differences of opinions have rose within PPM claiming that the meetings should take place with the advice from the PPM Senate.

In the midst of it, Ocean Weekly, a magazine controlled by Nasheed had encouraged to find a third presidential candidate instead of President Yameen and Nasheed last Friday. The article had also caused widespread criticism by PPM.
