Housing Minister Mohamed Aslam said the list of flat recipients under 'Gedhoruveriya' scheme will be announced soon.

State Minister of Planning Minsitry, Akram Kamaaluddin, who is also the Chairman or the 'Gedhoruveringe Committee' told 'One' on 7 June that the recipients list will be announced before Eid.

"We are almost done vetting the list of recipients for the flats and will announce it soon," Minister Aslam said while speaking at the press conference at President's Office on Monday.

A total of 4,000 flats are being built in Hulhumale' Phase II under the 'Gedhoruveriya' scheme. The project has been contracted to India's JMC and NBCC to complete 2,000 flats each.

Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation said works on 13 towers will be completed and the flats inhabited by August, which is 1,624 flats.
