Government will gazette the final list of recipients eligible for land under 'Binveriya' scheme on July 15, 2023.

A total of 15,164 forms by 23,801 applicants were submitted to the scheme, of which 12,794 applicants meet the required criteria for eligibility to land.

Speaking at the the press conference at President's Office on Monday, Housing Minister Aslam stated that complaints can be submitted until 15 July regarding the temporary list which has been gazetted.

"We have opened opportunity to submit inquiries or complaints until 15 July. We will also publish the final list on the same day after reviewing the inquiries and complaints," Aslam said.

Aslam added that although President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has decided to give land plots to all the eligible applicants, only 5,000 plots will be given our in the first round to 10,314 applicants.

"We will gazette the first 5,000 land plot recipients in Male' area," Aslam said.

He added that the remaining 9,544 plots will be given in the second round but did not specify where the plots will be given from.
