Maldives Meteorology has stated that the upcoming Eid Al-Adha holidays will be rainy.

Assistant Meteorologist at the MET Office, Thahumeena Abdul Kareem revealed to One Online that scattered showers are expected across the country until the 30th of June. She further stated that this weekend will be particularly rainy.

She noted that winds of 40mph are expected during rain showers, while winds are on average expected to fluctuate between 10-20mph. Seas are expected to be normally rough.

Thahumeena further stressed that the weather will improve after the 30th.
