Maldives Police Service (MPS) has rescued three hostages who were being kept inside a house in Malé City.

Police noted that the hostages were three Maldivian men, adding that they had been tortured and had sustained several injuries from the torture.

They further added that the three men have since been taken to IGMH for treatment.

Police also revealed that one Maldivian man and a boy under the age of 18 has been arrested in connection to the case.

While they did not provide any further details, the case is now being investigated further.
