Maldives Police Service has begun a search for a missing man in GA. Vilingili.

Police said on Friday that a 38-year-old man had been reported missing around 0110hrs and police had begun searching for him together with the island council.

Speaking to 'One', a person from the island said the man reported missing is Ahmed Assad, Raiyvillage. He went missing after stating he will go to his mother following a family dispute, the person said.

The person added that Assad's mother had passed away.

Vilingili council's president Vishal Mohamed told 'One' on Friday that the residents are working with police in their search for Assad. He added that they had confirmed Assad has not left the island.
