India's Ravi and Ashmita Chaliha have won the Singles Championship at the Li-Ning Maldives International Challenge 2023 held from 5th to 10th June.

The badminton competition saw a total of 33 countries participate with 400 players and concluded successfully with the final matches being played yesterday.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih also visited to watch the final matches, where the Doubles final matches were played first.

In the mix doubles final America's Vinson Chiu and Jennie Gai faced off against Malaysia's Hoo Pang Ron and Teoh Mei Xing, where the Malaysian pair won 13-21 and 18-21.

In the Men's Singles final, India's Ravi and Malaysia's Soong Joo Ven faced off each other, with Ravi winning 19-21 and 18-21.

Thailand's Pharanyu Kaosamaang and Worrapol Thongsa-nga won the Men's Doubles championship with 19-21 and 16-21 against Malaysia's Low Hang Yee and Ng End Cheong.

In the Women's Doubles championship, India's Ashwini Bhat K. and Shikha Gautam faced off Thailand's Laksika Kanlaha and Phataimas Muenwong where the Thai pair won 22-24 and 15-21.

The last event was the Women's Singles final, where India's Tasnim Mir faced off Ashmita Chaliha, who is also from India. Ashmita won the singles championship with 19-21, 21-17 and 21-11.
