Maldives Police Service has publicised the details of a man in connection to an attack on a police officer and a drug case.

Police released the details of Mohamed Ansam, 23, Bereyfushi, Dhadimagu, Gn. Fuvahmulah on Wednesday. According to police, Ansam was part of the attack on an off duty officer on 21 May 2023, and he is also wanted for a drug case under a court order.

Police have previously arrested 4 people in relation to the attack on the officer.

Police appealed to the public to contact their Serious and Organised Crime Department on 991-1099 or call the police hotline on 332-2111 if anyone has information on Ansam.
