Maldives Customs Service (MCS) has confiscated drugs worth MVR 13 million from a Pakistani who traveled to Maldives.
MCS said the drugs were confiscated from a 25-year-old who traveled to Maldives from Faisal Abad, Pakistan. MCS had conducted a search after suspicions were raised due to the man's behaviour at the airport.
"The substances tested positive to heroine on the initial test," Customs said.
MCS said the 10.14kg of drugs have a street value of MVR 13 million.
The man and the drugs have been handed over to police for further investigation.
