Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has signed with Planning Ministry to develop Harbour's in K. Huraa, Sh. Feydhoo, and Th. Gaadhiffushi in addition to K. Dhiffushi Land Reclamation and Shore Protection Project.

Scope of work for Th. Gaadhiffushi project include, harbour basin dredging operations of 47,243 cbm, channel dredging operations of 12,335cbm, construction of a 154m breakwater, a 227m revetment, a 267m sandfilled breakwater outer revetment, a 22m sand-filled breakwater inner revetment, a 204m geobag revetment, a 570m quay wall, construction of a ramp (11m x 11m); a concrete bridge (20m x 3m); installation of harbor lights and mooring buoy's, a 1,365 sqm pavement and 323m kerbs.

This project is valued at MVR 79.43 million.

Meanwhile Sh. Feydhoo project includes harbour basin dredging operations of 75,398 cbm, channel dredging operations of 5,320cbm, construction of a 20m breakwater, a 157m revetment, a 501m sand-filled breakwater outer revetment, a 86m sand-filled breakwater inner revetment, a 445m quay wall, construction of a ramp (11m x 11m), a concrete bridge (18m x 2m), installation of harbour lights and mooring bouy's, a 2,040 sqm pavement and 413m kerbs.

Sh. Feydhoo project is valued at MVR 73.95 million.

K. Huraa harbour development project includes maintenance dredging operations of 26,453 cbm, new harbour basin dredging operations of 40,111 cbm, channel dredging operations of 5,445 cbm, construction of a 86m breakwater, a 210m revetment, a 317m sandfilled breakwater outer revetment, a 370m quay wall, construction of a concrete jetty (105m x 4m), a concrete bridge (20m x 6m), installation of harbour lights and mooring bouy's, a 1,795 sqm pavement and 376m kerbs.

The project is valued at MVR 62.78 million.

K. Dhiffushi Land Reclamation and Shore Protection Project includes land reclamation operations of 22 hectares, construction of a 710m revetment, a 670m groynes, repair of 270m existing groynes and 300m existing revetment.

The project is valued at MVR 157.33 million
