The state has submitted to the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) to remove Waste Management Corporation Limited (WAMCO) Chairman, Mohamed Ibrahim Manik.

The Spokesperson at the President's Office, Miuvan Mohamed confirmed the news to One Online on Tuesday.

Manik is being dismissed after he has been active in the newly formed The Democrats. MDP has requested the removal of all those who have left the party but are still in government positions on a slot of MDP.

While political appointees joining The Democrats are being removed, State Minister at the Environment Ministry, Ahmed Mujthaba and Executive Director at the Tourism Minister, Ali Hashim was also removed from their roles yesterday.
