Ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Parliamentary Group has issued a three-line whip against the no-confidence motion against two Ministers, and for the impeachment of Deputy Speaker Eva Abdulla.

MDP PG Group Leader, Mohamed Aslam revealed to One Online that the decision was made during a PG Group meeting on Monday.

If a three-line whip is issue, all members of the party are required to follow it.

The opposition had submitted no-confidence motions against Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid and Attorney General Ibrahim Riffath over the maritime boundary dispute with Mauritius.

MDP submitted to impeach Eva after she had quit MDP and is now leading the formation of a new party under the name The Democrats.

While the no-confidence motion against the AG has been tabled for coming Wednesday, the motion against Foreign Minister Shahid has been scheduled for June 6th.

Eva's impeachment has been scheduled for June 11th.
