Maldives Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC)'s Chairman Ahmed Mausoom has tendered resignation.

Mausoom was appointed Chairman at MWSC on 6 February 2019.

'One' has come to know Mausoom tendered his resignation on Sunday. Mausoom is known for his support for Mohamed Nasheed, and has signed for Nasheed's 'The Democrats'.

The administration has been removing political appointees who support 'The Democrats' from their posts.

Elections Commission gave the go-ahead to form 'The Democrats' last Wednesday. The party is currently working on obtaining the needed 3,000 signatures to form the party officially.
