Street crossing lights installed in Hulhumale'

Traffic lights have been installed in Hulhumale' for street crossing.

The traffic lights were inaugurated by Vice President Faisal Naseem at a ceremony held on Friday.

Urbanco stated that traffic lights for street crossing will provide ease and convenience for the residents in Hulhumale' as well as safety.

The street crossing lights have been installed in 8 areas in Hulhumale', and Urbanco will continue to research on the most frequented crosswalks to install further lights in the future.

As such, street crossing signs have been installed and put to use near Hulhumale' Hospital and Hiyaa area.

"The residents can press the button on the street lights to indicate a crossing. The light will turn green for an allocated moment to allow people to cross the streets safely," Urbanco stated.
