Excavator accident in Maafaru Airport leaves worker dead

The driver of an excavator which was overturned in Noonu Atoll Maafaru Airport has passed away.

A message shared by the Police on Thursday noted that the injured worker was pronounced dead on arrival at the Maafaru Health Center. They received the report of the death at 9:27am today.

The worker was a 35-year-old Indian man.

Police is further investigating the case.
