Hulhumale' Magistrate Court has issued a remand order for those arrested over attacking a police officer.

The off-duty officer was attacked by a group of 4 people near a Hulhumale' Flat.

The four men were arrested on Sunday night while hiding out at an apartment.

The officer who was attacked is currently being treated at Hulhumale' Hospital, police said. They however did not specify the extent of the injuries sustained by the officer.

Hulhumale' Magistrate Court added 15 days to the remand of the 21-year-old, 5 days to the remand of the 33-year old. and 7 days to the remand of the 42-year-old and 44-year old arrested.

The incident is under investigation by Police.
