Maldives Police Service have begun the search for a missing child in Hulhumalé.

According to the Police website, Lhaviyani Atoll Kurendhoo / Hudhufalhu, Abdul Naafiu Ibrahim, 17, is missing from Hulhumalé. The missing person's report was submitted to the Phase 2 Police Station last night.

Police noted that after having received the report, the relevant authorities have been notified and a search operation has begun for the child. However, there are no signs of the child as of yet.

Police had appealed anyone with information regarding the child to report to their hotline 3322111 or 9310707.
