Urbanco announced a health screening programme to celebrate 19 years since Hulhumale' was inhabited.

Urbanco and Hulhumale' Hospital worked together to conduct the health screening programme.

The programme was conducted from 1600-1800hrs at the Ruhdhandu area in Hulhumale' Phase I and Phase II.

Urbanco stated that the main aim of the programme was to screen for non-contagious diseases. As such, Hulhumale' Phase I screening included cardiac disease screening as well as diabetes and TB screening. The programme also provided information on these diseases to the public.

Hiya Medical Centre provided child nutrition and dental check-ups in Phase II.

Urbanco said that the aim of conducting such a programme to celebrate Hulhumale' anniversary was to promote a healthy lifestyle and create awareness amongst the public.
