Maldives Police Service has arrested 13 people during a special operation, cracking down on an alleged business of prostitution in the capital city.
A statement by the Police noted that the operation was conducted by their Intelligence, Anti-Human Trafficking Department, and the Immigration Department. The operation took place last night, during which four places were raided in Malé City.
Among those arrested were eight Bangladesh men and one woman, along with four women from Thailand.
Police is currently investigating the case further.
