No-confidence motion filed against Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid has been withdrawn.
Speaking to 'One', Parliament's Media Director Hassan Ziyau said a no-confidence motion was filed against Minister Shahid but withdrawn shortly afterwards.
"The motion has been withdrawn. We are not clear on the reasoning yet," Ziyau said.
'One' has come to know that the opposition withdrew the motion to make amendments to it.
The no-confidence motion was filed against Minister Shahid accusing him of failing to act in the best interest of Maldives in the maritime dispute between Maldives and Mauritius.
