Fifty-five percent of National Social Protection Agency (NSPA)'s budget for 2023 has been utilised.

The administration had allocation MVR 1.9 billion of its 42.7 billion budget for 2023 to NSPA. According to statistics published by Finance Ministry, NSPA has utilised 55% of its budget for the year by 4th May 2023.

As per statistics, NSPA had spent MVR 784 million in that period last year. As such, NSPA's budget utilisation this year has increased by MVR 216 million in this period.

Additionally, national insurance Aasandha has also utilised 82% of its budget for 2023.

NSPA spent a total of MVR 2.5 billion in 2022 although the agency was allocated a budget of MVR 1.2 billion.
