Regional Airports Company Ltd (RACL) has stated that preparations are underway to install night landing systems in HA. Hoarafushi and GDh. Maavarulu airports.

RACL said work is underway to install the system to begin scheduled night flights to the airports. RACL added that the works will be completed within a month or so and scheduled night flights can begin to the two destinations.

RACL said the first test flight landed at Kulhudhuffushi airport on Saturday night.

With that, four out of the six airports operated by RACL now operate scheduled night flights.
