Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital (ASMH) in GDh. Thinadhoo has introduced Chemotherapy service.

The service was officially inaugurated on Monday by ASMH's Deputy CEO Abdul Azeez Rifau.

ASMH said with the introduction of chemotherapy services in the hospital, it would provide great convenience to the people in Huvadhoo Atoll.

The hospital added that they are working on training ASMH staff to provide chemotherapy with the assistance of Hulhumale' Hospital. ASMH added that they have held discussions with STO to further develop their role in the service to keep the latter sustainable.

Speaking at the inauguration, Abdul Azeez Rifau said that the service is yet another step to further develop the hospital.

ASMH also introduced laparoscopic surgery and advanced wound care services last week.
