Former Brigadier General Zakariyya Mansoor has been appointed as the chairman of Kahdhoo Airports Company Limited (KACL).
Zakariyya was appointed to the position on Sunday, as confirmed by the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB).
He was the Director General at the National Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC) at the time of the appointment. He had also filled in as the Managing Director of KACL previously.
Zakariyya Mansoor retired in 2021, after 37 years of service in Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF). He had been working at NCTC since then.
Zakariyya holds a Master's in Strategic Security Studies, with several trainings and certifications in the field of counter-terrorism.
Kahdhoo Airport is used as a domestic airport, as well as a military base for 'Iskandhar Military Base'.
