Supreme Court has ordered the Criminal Court to halt that trial following the two charges against former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom regarding the leasing of Raa Atoll Fuggiri through the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC).

The former President is charged with money laundering and accepting bribes.
