Telecom giant Dhiraagu has recorded MVR 218 million as profit in the first quarter of 2023.

As per Dhiraagu's fiscal report, Dhiraagu recorded MVR 653 million in revenue in the first quarter of 2023 with profit after tax and expenditure standing at MVR 218 million.

Dhiraagu stated that the Q1 profit is 6% lower than Q3 in 2022. However, Q1 profit in 2023 stands at a 2.3 percent increase compared to Q1 last year.

According to Dhiraagu, the decrease in revenue is owed to the discontinuation of Dhiraagu TV services. Dhiraagu earned MVR 342 million from mobile services and MVR 291 million from fixed broadband services in that period.
