Mathiveri Member of Parliament (MP) Hassan Zareer has been injured after being attacked with a sharp object.

Police Media revealed that the MP was attacked while he was inside the Habibi Café & Bistro in Henveiru.

MP Zareer is being treated at ADK Hospital after being injured during the attack which took around 5:08am this morning.

However, the motive behind the attack and the extent of the injuries remain unclear as of yet.
