Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) signed an agreement with Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure to implement of HDh. Kumundhoo Harbor Development Project.
The agreement was signed on behalf of MTCC by CEO Adam Azim and Fathimath Shaana Farooq, DG, on behalf of Ministry at a ceremony held at Housing Ministry on Tuesday.
Scope of work for the project includes dredging of a 45,760cbm area for harbour basin, a 300m rock boulder, a 40m revetment, a 60m groyne, and a 332m quay wall.
Additionally, the project includes renovation of the existing 154m quay wall, construction of a 11m ramp, construction of a 120m concrete jetty, installation of harbour lights, harbour pavement of 5,252.30m and a 537.62m curb.
The project is valued at MVR 66.08 million to be completed within 570 days.
MTCC said field works will commence once the EIA is completed.
