MDP candidate Ibrahim Shaaz has won Guraidhoo constituency bi-elections.

This marks the first time MDP has won in the constituency in the past 14 years. The seat was left vacant following the passing of PPM member Ibrahim Riza in February.

Guraidhoo bi-elections were contested by MDP's Ibrahim Shaaz, PPM's Hussain Riza, and MNP's Ali Areef.

As per the temporary results announced by Elections Commission, Ibrahim Shaaz won the bi-elections with over 1,300 votes.
