Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed that Alif Dhaalu Atoll Kunburudhoo Shore Protection Project is well underway.

They noted that the dredging and reclamation operations are ongoing with 52% completion.

According to MTCC, the scope of works include, 24,000 cbm of dredging and reclamation operations, construction of a 430 m rockboulder revetment; a 185 m geotube revetment; and 7,171 cbm beach replenishment operations.

The value of the project is MVR 21.2 million.
