Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) has extended the deadline for information update form submission since the addition of waste collection fees to electricity bills.

In an announcement made on Thursday, WAMCO said the information update forms can be submitted until 13 April and that the services will be discontinued for residents who do not submit the form.

"Information update form submission date has been extended until Thursday, 13 April 2023. Services will be discontinued in May 2023 for those who fail to submit the forms," WAMCO said.

WAMCO said residents can call 1666 for additional information on the information update form.

WAMCO fees were included in electricity bills starting 1st April 2023.

Environment Ministry said on 9th March that the decision was made to ensure that WAMCO fees were paid accordingly. According to the Ministry, WAMCO collects waste from 53,000 residents but only 20,000 pay fees regularly.
