Road Development Corporation (RDC) has announced the closure of Ameenee Magu segments 5-7 as part of their ongoing re-development works of the road.

The road closure starts from Gaakoshi Flats to Rahdhebai Higun. This area covers work on segment 5, 6 and 7 of the project.

The field work of this project commenced on August 30th, with the first segment of works developing the Ameenee Magu and Boduthakurufaanu Magu junction till Ameenee Magu and Irudheymaa Hingun junction.

The Ministry of National Planning, Housing & Infrastructure contracted the work to RDC on June 3rd. The project was supposed to be finished within 210 days, valued at MVR 84 million.
