A child has tested positive to measles in Addu City.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said sample has been collected from a second child and is being tested for measles.

HPA added that although the two children were found to be positive to measles, they do not stand the risk of passing measles onto anyone else.

Measles was considered eradicated from the Maldives.
