Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said R. Ungoofaaru Road Construction Project (Phase 2) is currently underway with 51% overall project completion.

MTCC said 89% of light-post installation has been completed, and sub-grade preparation work has reached 40% completion. Sidewalk paving work is currently ongoing at the site.

Scope of work for the project include a 7,511.70sqm of carriageway (sub-grade, sub-base, asphalt), a 2,291.75sqm of sidewalk pavement, installation of stormwater management system, road makings and streetlights.

The project is valued at MVR 20.4 million.
