The biggest and main vessel, 'Rumailah', which was being used for the Thilamalé Bridge project has been sent back.

Thilamalé Bridge Project Manager, Mohamed Jinan revealed that the vessel was sent back on Sunday evening. According to him, they had finished all aspects of the project that required the use of the vessel.

Jinan also refuted rumors that the vessel was sent. back after failing to make the necessary payments for it.

Rumailah was first used for the geotechnical survey of the bridge. Following this, the vessel was also used for placing some of the support pillars of the bridge.

Speaking about the rumors about a bigger vessel arriving after Rumailah, Jinan stated that different vessels will be brought in during different phases of the project as necessary.
