Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) have revealed that the Gaafu Alif Atoll Villingili Harbor Development Project is currently underway and on schedule.

The company noted that the new harbor dredging work has currently reached 45 percent completion, and quay wall block installation work has commenced.

The scope of works include, dredging and excavation operations of 59,536.80 cbm harbor basin, construction of a 275m breakwater, a 613m revetment, a 105m groyne, a 685m quay wall.

The value of the project is MVR 107.86 million.
