Work has commenced to add space to Hulhumale' Phase II mosque ahead of Ramadan.

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) said on Monday that the mosque is 50ftx90ft mosque but additional space will be added ahead of Ramadan.

The mosque currently has a capacity of 600 people. Islamic Ministry said the mosque space will be extended to include a praying area for women as well.

HDC has allocated a 30,655sqft plot for Islamic Ministry to build a mosque in Phase II.
