STO brings in lime shipment to tackle increased prices

State Trading Organization (STO) has brought in a shipment of lime to control prices for Ramadan.

STO said on Monday that the company aims to control food prices during Ramadan. As such, STO will be selling limes for at MVR 60 per kg.

"We are bringing in lime shipments from India and will be selling lime at a controlled price of MVR 60 per kg," STO said.

Lime prices in the market have gone up to MVR 80-90 per kg.

STO has also brought in shipments of onions, potatoes and eggs and are selling the goods at a lower price to maintain price of products during Ramadan.
